What is Big Form?

Big Form is our primary beginning of year fundraiser that includes 7 different applications including PTA Membership, Underwriting, Brick Sales, and more. Only open for a brief time, your participation is critical and funds our entire operating budget for the year. Learn all about Big Form and make a donation plan before it opens.

What is Included in Big Form?

Big Form is made up of 7 different applications-- all important to beginning our school year at Frostwood.

1. PTA Membership-- Frostwood PTA is a vital part of your child's Frostwood experience, and we need your support to be successful! PTA membership is annual, so you need to join each school year, and we encourage all adults in your household to join. PTA membership includes the ability to participate and vote in general meetings, hold a committee position, and work to improve the FWE community.

  • Who can be a member of FWE PTA?
    • Anyone who is supportive of the Frostwood Elementary community. This includes: moms, dads, step-parents, guardians, grandparents, community members, etc.
  • What about faculty & staff?
    • Yes! FWE faculty and staff are a vital part of our PTA and purchase a specific membership that is open only to them.

2. Family Underwriting-- The Frostwood PTA would like to invite you to partner with us in our 2026-2027 Underwriting campaign. Underwriting funding is one of only two fundraisers held each year, and it fully funds our annual operating budget. Our operating budget funds campus and community events like Carnival, Book Fair, International Festival, Field Day, field trips, as well as enrichment opportunities and materials like our garden education program, the annual spelling bee, STEM equipment, school musicals, classroom supplies and more. In addition, we are facing state laws annually redistributing local tax dollars. Underwriting helps fill in these gaps.

3. Corporate Underwriting-- Like Family Underwriting, Corporate Underwriting is critically important to helping us bridge the gaps to help fund the programming mentioned above that makes Frostwood so special. We invite any community businesses to learn more about this process by following the link above ↑

4. Staff Appreciation-- Each month, Frostwood PTA hosts an appreciation luncheon for our staff. We also recognize our amazing staff every day of Teacher Appreciation Week in May and provide them with snacks during STAAR testing. By donating to this fund, you are helping provide the money needed to put on these events.

  • In addition to making a donation, you can also choose to volunteer for Staff Appreciation. See the 2 different ways below:
    • Luncheon Hosting: Monthly lunches are hosted by a group of volunteers. Typically these volunteers work together to come up with a fun theme, order food, provide drinks, decorate before, and serve at the luncheon. Hostesses are given a budget from the Staff Appreciation budget to fully fund the cost of the luncheon.
    • Lunch Room Duty: In order for the grade level teams to be able to enjoy Staff Appreciation Luncheons together, we must have parent volunteers supervising the lunch room in their absence. These volunteers keep the cafeteria line moving, help open items for students, help clean-up any possible spills, and aid the administrative staff with supervising.
  • How do I volunteer?
    • The links to the sign-ups will be available on the Staff Appreciation page in Big Form and will also be available on our Volunteer page once Big Form is live.

5. Auction Grade Level Project Donation-- Each grade level contributes a one-of-a-kind project for Frostwood's Live Auction in February. By opting in, you are helping to cover the cost of materials and supplies for these hand-crafted masterpieces.

6. Brick Campaign-- Leave your family’s print on Frostwood Elementary by purchasing a commemorative brick that will be placed in one of a variety of areas around the school. With your $125 donation, your student's name or your family’s name will be etched into the 4” X 8” brick.

  • What can be written on my brick?
    • Wording can have up to 3 lines, 16 characters per line including spaces. Your entry is case sensitive.

7. Tiger Buddies Application-- Tiger Buddies is part of our Newcomers Network which matches new and veteran Tiger Families. For more information about being a mentor or mentee please visit our Newcomers page!
