Visitors On Campus
For Special Events- For PTA or school events that occur during the school hours, every visitor must wear an office-issued paper badge. The week before an event a link to preregister for the event will be sent out. We highly encourage you to preregister so that your badge is printed and ready for you to pick-up before the event. For those who do not preregister they will need to check in with an office representative and present their ID to have a paper badge printed. At the conclusion of the event you will return your paper badge to a staff member at exit.
For Volunteering- All SBISD volunteers must register online through the district website every year and pass a criminal background check.to volunteer. You can register with SBISD using the link below. All volunteers must bring a valid, government issued photo ID when they visit or volunteer on campus for the first time to have it scanned into the Raptor system. When you come to FWE for a volunteer commitment you will first check in with the front office to receive your paper badge. At the conclusion of your time you will return your paper badge to the front office and exit the front doors.
Accessing Student Information and Other Online Resources

Frostwood's History & Values
History & Rebuild
Frostwood has a long history in our community. It originally opened its doors in 1960. Josephine Price was Frostwood's first principal in 1960. In 2010, we celebrated our 50th anniversary. In 2014, the new Frostwood Elementary opened and now in our newly built school, we serve about 780+ students in grades PreK through 5th.
The tiger etched on the side of the new building is named Tidwell the Tiger, after longtime volunteers: James and Ann Tidwell.
Frostwood Elementary is so much more than a school to our community. It is a venue for weekend birthday parties, an exercise area, a meeting place for friends, and a constant in a world of inconsistency. Wherever our Tigers go, they take the true heart of Frostwood with them and that is the community, the family, and the excellence.
Frostwood's Mission Statement
Our mission is to encourage successful, creative learners who are equipped socially, academically, morally, and technologically to meet the challenges of the 21st century in a safe and cooperative learning environment.
Frostwood's Vision
All Frostwood staff members will continue to embrace the rich diversity in and around our school, encourage higher level thinking, engage creativity and problem solving, and ensure academic and social preparedness.
Frostwood Motto
Cool tigers do the right thing, because IT IS the right thing to do!
Frostwood ROAR
ROAR Rockstars
Those Tigers who truly embody ROAR can be selected as a grade level ROAR Rockstar. Every 9 weeks, homeroom teachers select one of their students who they believe has gone above and beyond to live Frostwood's ROAR values. They are then rewarded with a ROAR Rockstar certificate.
Frostwood Songs
Frostwood Family
Frostwood, Frostwood, we love you so!
Friendship bound we are to help each other grow.
Strong in spirit, both in sunshine and rain.
Oh Frostwood, dear to us you shall remain.
Learning, growing, love is all around.
Beauty, truth, and happiness abound.
Tigers bold are we, the best in the land!
Purple, white for loyalty our colors stand.
Each year brings to us a sweet memory.
Together, we're the Frostwood family!
Frostwood is where our hearts will always be.
Frostwood Creed
I am an active listener,
truthful at all times,
trustworthy,
doing my personal best,
treating others as I would like to be treated,
no put downs and
doing my part to keep Frostwood safe and clean.
